About: Since 1987, this local institution offers low-cost clothing and household items as a mechanism for recycling usable, quality merchandise, and financially support WMCS programs. Every day the Thrift Store receives fantastic merchandise, and we get it on the floor fast! Our items range from clothing and jewelry to kitchenware and sporting equipment, you never know what kind of treasure you will unearth. You can find what you’re looking for from dollar rack to our high-end items, we have products that can fit any budget.
Giving Back: Not only do we recycle goods back out to the community, but your dollar gets reused too! 100% of profits go right into our community programs to support emergency needs, scholarships for childcare, and much more. West Marin Community Thrift’s contributes to about 25-33% of WMCS’s annual program budget that goes right back out to the community.
Vouchers: Our Resource Office issues clothing and household item vouchers to low-income people and families to use at the Thrift Store.
Donations: Donations of clothing, shoes, kitchenware, jewelry, toys, books, and décor are accepted during open hours. We do not accept computers, large appliances and furniture, mattresses, or TVs. Please make sure all items are clean, undamaged, and in good usable condition.
Employment and volunteering: Our store employees and volunteers are local residents who enjoy benefits and discounts. We’re always looking for cashiers, customer service wizards, and organizers. It’s a fun and interactive role, and you get to work with an amazing team. Email us if you’re interested in working or volunteering at our shop.
