The purpose of West Marin Community Services is to support programs and services that ensure the well-being of individuals and families in West Marin. Human dignity and social justice are the values that guide our efforts. We are committed to continue to raise awareness of and acknowledge the systemic oppression of the country and the county. Our work is dedicated to a socially diverse and equitable future. We recognize that our values must align with our daily tasks, and we will continue to weave anti-racism, inclusion, empathy, and equity into the work of the organization.

Together we agree to:

• Educate ourselves on current systemic oppression in our community and how to confront it
• Train white people and People of Color leaders (formal and informal) on issues of race and equity, so that the community will be able to work across race more effectively
• Promote diversity, inclusivity, self-respect, and self acknowledgement to all community members and within our own places of employment
• Practice empathy towards our neighbors who feel silenced and use our own voices to aid them
